Rick Green Memorial Scholarship
The Rick Green Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Rick Green Sr. who died in July 2021 after a four-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a loving husband, loving father of three, and loving grandfather of six. Not only did he leave a lasting impression on his family and friends, but he was also an avid fan and participant of the athletic community in Brownsburg, Indiana. He served on the Brownsburg Little League Board for 28 years, baseball and softball coach, an IHSAA Official, and Member of the Indiana Officials Association. He loved his work as an architect, which can be seen in the designs of several buildings throughout the Indianapolis, Indiana area. This scholarship is founded to help the next generations of those who create communities.
This scholarship is designed for those who are pursuing an architectural degree. Preference will be given to baseball/ softball players and those attending community college. If you meet any of the requirements, you are encouraged to apply.
While the scholarship has been active for brownsburg, indiana high school students for the last 3 years, we have created a second scholarship for students in the pender county North Carolina area and the surrounding areas for graduating class 2026. Students of brownsburg, Indiana should apply through their high school portal. students of pender county, North Carolina (and the surrounding area) should apply below.

Please submit requested information and a short essay highlighting a coach or mentor who has left an impact on your life and how you will incorporate what you were taught into helping and mentoring others.
Rules and regulations
This scholarship is in compliance with all state and federal regulations. No purchase is necessary and purchase does not increase the chance of winning the scholarship. | This scholarship is only for graduating high school seniors in Pender County, North Carolina and surrounding areas who are pursuing further education. applicants must be able to provide verification they are graduating high school and attending an accredited school. Preference will be given to baseball/softball athletes, community college attendees, and those pursing architectural degrees. | Employees of Belligerent Industries, LLC and Grumpy Grandpa’s Coffee are not eligible for this scholarship. | Applications for the Rick Green Memorial Scholarship are due via the above submission platform by 01 April 2026. Decisions for the winner will be made and announced by 13 April 2026. Funds will be transferred directly to the winner via a cashier check by 30 April 2026. | Applicants and winner agrees to have their name and photo used by Grumpy Grandpa’s Coffee for marketing purposes. | This scholarship is funded by Grumpy Grandpa’s coffee. | Questions can be submitted to Scholarship@GGsCoffee.com
